HSE Students and Lecturers Get Chance to Help Broadcast Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics
An Educational Centre of the Olympic Broadcasting Service (OBS), which supports worldwide broadcasting of the Olympic Games, is opening at the HSE Faculty of Media Communications.
The OBS was founded by the International Olympic Committee as the official company responsible for broadcasting the Olympics in different countries.
Students and lecturers, who will have attended special seminars and training sessions at the Educational Centre, will have the opportunity to work at the OBS as assistant camera operators, sound engineers, etc, during the Olympics.
In addition to media experts, representatives of various professions—from administrators to economists—are needed to provide broadcasting services. That’s why everyone interested in one of winter 2014’s most important sporting events is eligible to participate in the programme. Training will be organized by the Faculty of Media Communications, one of the OBS’s educational partners in Russia. The course will be free for HSE students and lecturers.
